Frequently Asked Questions
We are often asked many questions about our company. If you do not see your question, please let us know.

There are no stupid questions.

How long have you been in business?

We have been in business since April 2002.

How long have you been at your current location?

We moved into our current location in October 2018.

We were at our previous location for 13 years.

How long will it take my computer to get repaired?
That really depends on what is wrong with your computer and how bad it is damaged.

Most repair services are completed in 1-2 days.

If the problem is malware or viruses, we may need to scan the computer several times. We perform online and offline scans of your hard drive. Depending on how much is on your hard drive determines the speed of the scan.

If you require replacement parts it will depend on what we have in stock and what we might need to order. Specialty parts can take anywhere from 2-3 day. We have seen that some hard to find parts can only be obtained from venders in China. That can take 4-6 weeks.

Do you offer 24/7 Support?
Customers with a maintenance plan can contact us anytime for emergency support.

We do have an emergency support voicemail that we check often and will return your call as soon as possible.

Is your work guaranteed?
All of our work is guaranteed.

If we did not fix your problem you will need to let us know within 14 days of picking up your computer or when we complete an onsite service call.

If we do not monitor your computer, we cannot guarantee your computer against viruses/malware. If you are subscribed to a Business or Residential maintenance plan with antivirus, we monitor and remove all viruses, malware, adware, etc. There is never any additional charges in the event that you do get a virus.

Parts we sell are warrantied for 30 day through us. Most parts come with a 1 year warranty through the manufacturer. We will be happy to send the defective part back to the manufacturer after the 30 day period, however you will be charged the shipping cost.

Can you guarantee my data will not be lost?

Although we make every effort to protect our customer’s data, Ingram Computer Services cannot and will not be responsible for any data lost while in or out of our care. We believe it is the owner of the data’s responsibility to make regular backups, including but not limited to personal data and business data. This belief is inline with our industry.

We will not guarantee that your data will not be lost.

Can I bring my dog into your office?
Of course. We love dogs!

All we ask is that you keep your dog under control and you clean up any mess your dog might make. (We will provide the cleaning supplies)

Please do not leave your pet in the car when it is hot outside!

When do I need to pickup my computer?

We understand life happens. If you are not able to pickup your computer within 30 days please contact us to make arrangements. We are very understanding.

You are welcome to pay your invoice online.

VISA – MasterCard – Discover – American Express – Paypal – Check – Cash

Apple or PC?
I can promise you we are 100% neutral on this decades old flame war.

We use Windows for our office computers. The main reason is that we build our own computers and even piece them together. This is really hard with Apple since each series of computers is custom. Also most business software runs on Windows.

Our servers are PC’s. But Apple is really weak in the server market. There is a software package you can purchase for an Apple desktop to make it a server, but I hate to waste an Apple desktop as a server.

Matt carries a MacBook Pro when he travels onsite. Usually he’s working on networks and networks are so much easier to troubleshoot with a Unix based operating system. The touch pad is also the best in the world and the battery life is astounding.

We also use a lot of Linux. Our web and email servers are Linux based. We even run Linux on a Raspberry Pi 3 using MotionEye. Nothing beats Linux when we need to do advanced data recovery or even securely erasing a hard drive.

Basically it comes down to this: We love Operating Systems! Whatever operating system you like to we can service it.
